We offer candidates the opportunity to join our organisation as a Logistics Administrator responsible for asphalt products servicing our Roadsurfacing business units and our external customer base. The position is based at our site in Ballinascorney, Co. Dublin and will provide the right candidates with a clear pathway to build a career within Kilsaran.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience working in a Dispatch Office is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of systems/detailed administration.
  • Supply Chain or Logistics experience within manufacturing would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE NIGHT SHIFTS DURING THE ASPHALT PRODUCTS AND ROADSURFACING DIVISIONS BUSY PERIODS.

As a Logistics Administrator you will be given the opportunity to learn via a blend of practical and personal development experiences such as:
On the Job learning focused on Kilsaran processes and activities within the Roadsurfacing business unit and supply of asphalt products from our manufacturing locations.
Kilsaran logistics system and processes training
Tailored learning though internal or external resources

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan the most effective daily transport and delivery schedules for each manufacturing location.
  • Work closely with Roadsurfacing project teams to understand order requirements, road planing logistics and site conditions.
  • Work closely with manufacturing location managers and shipping teams to deliver effective production planning, understand location capacity and product capability.
  • Oversee process orders received at each production location via telephone, email, face-to-face or via Sales Team.
  • Responsible for vehicle planning and allocation of fleet to locations to fulfil daily orders.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party haulage providers and requests for payment.
  • Ensure all Roadsurfacing and external customer orders are delivered within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure on-going effective communication with project teams, fleet, production locations and sales.
  • Understand and achieve specific targets regarding utilisation of trucks, costs and empty journeys.
  • Work closely with aggregate and concrete teams to maximise the utilisation of trucks.
  • Oversight on the delivery of the right quality (in consultation with Technical & Location teams) and quantity of material to sites.
  • Manage shipping records and KPI reports.
  • Report into the senior logistics manager and Roadsurfacing director.
