Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Technician in Logistics Supplier Management, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the relationships with third-party providers while ensuring commitments and customer satisfaction are upheld. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining a register of freight rates, verifying transport rates, managing contracts, coordinating information flow, and analysing discrepancies. Your ability to develop effective solutions will be key in minimising operational and financial impact.

  • Maintain and manage relationships with various suppliers
  • Develop and maintain a register of freight rates ensuring information is accurate
  • Obtain and verify transport rates from logistics service providers to determine market rates for specific lanes
  • Manage contracts and coordinate flow of information from internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyse discrepancies and develop solutions to minimise operational and financial impact

The ideal candidate for this role brings strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You have previous experience within a supply chain environment, which has equipped you with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, coupled with your ability to adapt quickly in an agile environment will set you apart.

  • Previous experience within supply chain environment highly regarded
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse information and develop solutions
  • Experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in Excel
  • Ability to adapt in a fast moving and agile environmen
