Coordination of Transportation: Facilitating the transportation of goods and materials by coordinating with other drivers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
Planning and optimizing delivery routes to minimize fuel costs, reduce travel time, and maximize efficiency in transporting goods to their destinations.
Handling paperwork and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and filed appropriately.
Providing assistance to customers regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Inspecting shipments for damages, discrepancies, or defects upon arrival, and liaising with suppliers or carriers to resolve any issues and ensure the quality of delivered goods.
Coordinating maintenance schedules for vehicles and equipment used in transportation, ensuring they are in proper working condition to prevent breakdowns and delays.
Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing transportation, including safety standards, customs requirements, and environmental regulations, to avoid legal issues and penalties.
To perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
