Description:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years’ experience ideally in logistics/warehousing/Protein Industry
- Computer literacy is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook a must.
- You must have knowledge and or experience in C&F environment; you must have basic knowledge of SARS and NDA importing and exporting requirements.
- You must have knowledge and or experience of Incoterms and be able to execute accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for the efficient and effective fulfillment of all tasks
- Preparation of pre-planning related to vessel shipments and contracts on vessels to be shipped into RSA.
- Maintaining forward planning across local Toll Crush
- Ensure contract allocations are balanced on system to process intercompany invoices relating to sales and purchase contracts of individual vessels.
- Ensure trades on toll crush strategies are allocated and strategies are squared for each delivery period.
- Ensure customers are informed of vessel arrival dates and contractual obligations prior to arrival of vessel.
- Ensure customers are prompted on availability of local contracts from respective crushes/local supply contracts.
- Contracting with transport service providers to move commodity to end user, using the most viable & cost-effective methods of conveyance according to client/end users’ requirements and within the trader’s cost for a trade.
- Pre-plan prior vessel arrival Trading and Ops.
- Vessel/Local/contract inventory analysis and reconciliation.
- Ensure that recoveries for transport, storage and miscellaneous charges are charged out to clients per contractual terms.
- Resolve and reconcile client’s issues and accounts.
- Reconciling third party service providers recording systems to suit company system
- Capturing costs in system for all cost related items payable and receivable.
- Daily maintenance of active and completed contracts in the system i.e. finalizing of contracts.
- Oversee and management of month end inventory balances and month end inventory functions as required by management.
