Logistic Manager EMEA
Role Overview:
Huntsman Performance Products division is searching for Logistic Manager EMEA to EMEA Supply Chain team based in Krakow. We are seeking a candidate who will be responsible for overseeing the logistics operations of Performance Products across the EMEA region, the main DC being in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This role includes managing diverse transportation methods, overseeing storage facilities for packaged and bulk materials, handling tolling services and customs procedures, coordinating ancillary support services, and managing the procurement of packaging materials to all of entities in region. As a part of the EMEA Supply Chain Leadership Team you are going to engage and make meaningful contribution to the functional strategies to meet business objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Logistic Manager EMEA, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with Huntsman’s EHS standards internally and among logistics service providers and their subcontractors to prevent incidents.
  • Managing Performance Products logistics operations across EMEA, including all transport modalities, storage of packed and bulk materials, tolling, customs, ancillary services, and packaging materials.
  • Owning the operational relationship with logistics service providers.
  • Improving the performance of providers through efficient and focused supplier management, clear reporting, analysis and evaluation of KPIs, and adherence to contract agreement.
  • Representing EMEA Logistics within the regional, global Supply Chain, and wider community.
  • Engaging and making meaningful contributions to functional strategies as a member of the EMEA Supply Chain Leadership Team to meet business objectives.
  • Initiating and implementing logistics projects, such as simplifying business processes, minimizing logistics spend, optimizing efficiency, and identifying and onboarding new logistics service providers.
  • Acting as a functional expert for all packaging-related matters.
  • Actively providing inputs into quarter-end close responsibilities, including revenue recognition impact from logistics activities.
  • Acting as subject matter expert and thought leader in Corporate Purchasing tender projects for Logistics and Warehousing.
  • Taking a leading role in tender award decision-making.
  • Acting as a customs expert providing advice, and actively engaging in relevant projects, including expert working knowledge of relevant Incoterms.
  • Managing the team handling all service and supply chain-related costs and invoices, including cost and invoice approval, allocation, and payments.

Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.

What we are looking for:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience with management accountability for EMEA Logistics within a multinational corporation.
  • Experience and knowledge of logistics in the chemical industry, and active understanding of geopolitical forces impacting global and regional logistics is strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results using analytical decision making, building strong relationships, and direction setting.
  • A strong practical approach with clear leadership and influencing abilities
  • Strong communication skills to guide and influence others, strong leadership of non-direct reports to achieve common objectives in different cultures
  • Flexible and able to manage concurrent priorities
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong problem-solving skills: leads other in problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Solid knowledge of European and Global deep sea freight transportation, demonstrated experience with European road/rail networks, and policies and practices of dangerous goods management.
  • English required for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
