Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Commercial Management: Commercialize the Logistic offering, by strengthening our value propositions as well as marketing them to our customers. Ensure profitability of the Logistic profit center.
- Coaching the team: Continue to develop the team competency and strengthen our operating processes.
- Cargo Management: Oversee the handling, stowage, and securing of cargo onboard vessels to optimize space utilization and ensure safe transport.
- System Use: Ensure that the team is fully aware on the use of our track & trace system and that all customers’ assets are managed via the system.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, port authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of logistics activities and adherence to service level agreements
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as vessel turnaround time, cargo handling efficiency, and inventory accuracy, and provide regular reports to management.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations within the marine company.
- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential incidents or disruptions in maritime logistics operations, ensuring the safety of personnel, vessels, and cargo.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree or above with major in logistics, international trade or other related courses
- Knowledge of the spare parts/goods import and export process, domestic and foreign express. Clear understanding on the various GST incentive schemes.
- Familiar with domestic and foreign logistics channel.
- Plentiful experience in international forwarding, sea freight, and other land based operations.
- 3 years or above working experience in foreign trade import and export operation.
- Knowledge of MS- Office tools and ERP system
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, good communicationHold fast to Confidentiality Rules and Regulations
