JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Participate in the strategic planning and management of the site
  • Own and drive the Continuous Improvement cycle for the Warehouse
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the warehouse team across day and afternoon shift as they execute the daily operational plan to sustainably meet agreed KPI’s in Safety, Efficiency, Quality and customer service.
  • Staff management with a focus on future proofing the business.
  • Inventory control in line with agreed standards, evidenced through audited reports including Warehouse space utilization.
  • Performance management for individuals and the team.
  • Asset Management to maximise ROI.
  • Responsible for site security
  • Effective management of relationships both internally and externally.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Suitable qualifications in Logistics and Management.
  • Previous experience in managing a warehouse, preferably in a FMCG environment.
  • Culture and change management experience.
  • Experience in the application of Continuous Improvement methodology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • Computer literacy including MS Office suite.
  • Excellent understanding of warehousing systems such as WMS and SAP.
  • Excellent Customer Management skills
  • Analytical skills suitable for this position.
