Description:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related careers.
  • Previous experience leading work teams directly or indirectly.
  • +5 years of experience in similar positions. Proven experience in logistics management & strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Microsoft Office: intermediate level.
  • English: intermediate level.
  • Spanish: advanced/native level.
  • Availability to work in Ciudad Empresarial, Region Metropolitana de Santiago, Chile, in a hybrid regime (3 times per week in person).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and cost-effective inbound of vehicles in GM through the management of contracts with various suppliers including sources, transportation providers, shipping lines, and ports.
  • Develop and implement storage and distribution strategies for vehicles across different operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations.
  • Assure inventory control in terms of accuracy and quality.
  • Participate in the selection and evaluation of logistics providers, offering technical expertise to the procurement team.
  • Monitor and manage budgets related to logistics operations, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
  • Monitor and manage KPI’s related to service and quality.
  • Managing a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to support sales plans and contribute to the success of defined initiatives in each country.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the dealership network, addressing logistics-related inquiries.
  • Proactively identify and resolve logistics-related issues, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leading, guiding and directing a team that is responsible for executing deliverables in support of the logistic organization’s business objectives.
  • Responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
  • Influences others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Promote GM’s values and makes customer-focused decisions.
  • Hold accountability for staffing, communicating, training and development, in addition to, directing and prioritization of work, evaluating performance, and removing roadblocks.
  • Provides technical leadership to team and interacts and collaborates with multi-functional teams to meet targets.
  • Lead team on new methods or initiatives without defined procedures.
