Logistics Operative - AFC Band 2
Shift pattern –37.5 hours per week, 06:00 – 22:00, Monday to Sunday
North Bristol NHS Trust are seeking to appoint a Logistics Operative to join the Logistics Team. Working predominantly on your feet across the Southmead Site and at our offsite warehouse, you will be part of a team managing the receipt, movement and replenishment of a wide range of hospital consumables:
Accurate put away or stock audits of stock in areas managed by the Materials Management Team
Ordering and management of linen stock in all areas managed by the Linen service
Processing uniform orders for all Trust new starters
Loading and dispatching of the Automated Guided vehicles (AGV)
Receipting and delivering of goods in both the R&D department, and the warehouse
Working in a supportive capacity within the Logistics services
A Full, Clean, UK Manual Driving license is essential for this post. Please do not apply if you do not have a UK license to drive a manual vehicle.
Applicants will need to be well organised, have the ability to use their own initiative and work within agreed guidelines. Good numerical skills and attention to detail will also be required. Experience of working in a supply chain role would be desirable, but not essential.
Applicants must be computer literate, with a decent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as email will be frequently relied upon. We are a customer focused team, therefore good communication skills are required, as well as a strong team ethic.
You will become part of a team of staff covering North Bristol NHS Trust. Shifts to cover the hours of 06:00 – 22:00, Monday to Sunday

To work as part of the Logistics team, responsible for providing a range of FM support services in the hospital environment and Offsite Warehouse. This will involve carrying out the following Logistics functions:
Receipt and Distribution of Healthcare related products

Ordering and management of linen stock in all areas managed by the Linen service
Processing uniform orders for all Trust new starters
Loading and dispatching of the Automated Guided vehicles (AGV)
Receipting and delivering of goods in both the R&D department, and the warehouse
Working in a supportive capacity within the Logistics services
Sorting, delivering, and franking internal and external Post
To provide a high quality responsive, efficient and effective support service to all wards, and departments in North Bristol NHS Trust acting in a caring and professional manner and working in line with Hotel Services and departmental operating procedures
