Description:

  • $90,199 - $101,022 per annum + 15.4% super
  • All Bureau capital city locations will be considered.
    The Data and Digital Group provides the data, infrastructure and systems to underpin the Bureau’s core operations, from measurement and collection through to production and dissemination. The Group ensures that data is managed at a whole-of-enterprise level along the full value chain from the observations network through to the high-performance computation needed to generate forecasts and downstream products and services.
    The Observing Systems and Operations (OSO) Program is responsible for operation, sustainment and life-cycle management of the Bureau’s observing networks. OSO delivers fit-for-purpose in situ and remotely sensed observations with associated support services and provide in-field volunteer and partnership management across Australia and our territories, including Antarctica.
    We are seeking an experienced Logistics Procurement Support Officer to join our Observing Systems Support and Transformation (OSST) Team, reporting directly to the Purchasing Support Manager. OSST provides supporting functions, services and transformational activities within the Observing Systems & Operations (OSO) Program.

To be considered for Logistics Procurement Support Officer role you will have demonstrated the following:

  • Proven experience in a similar procurement or logistics role.
  • A good understanding of the relevant government procurement rules and guidelines.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Logistics / Financial Databases and MS Office.
  • Ability to work autonomously, and track multiple processes, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of logistics processes.
  • Outstanding organisational and coordination abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records in a timely manner with excellent attention to detail.
