We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor to join the Depot Operations group within the Product Life Cycle Sustainment department at GA-ASI located in Poway, CA.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of as an associate’s degree in business administration or related discipline and six or more years of progressive experience in supply chain activities and the manufacturing environment.
  • Progressive administration experience is preferred in supply chain activities
  • Must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of logistics principles, concepts, regulations and practices.
  • Must have proven leadership skills including organization, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines.
  • Must be able to understand new concepts and apply them in an evolving environment.
  • Must possess the ability to resolve problems within the logistics environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, management, and outside representatives.
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information knowledge of computer operations and applications related to the position.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours and limited travel as required

  • Preferred basic knowledge of systems such as, SAP, REMIS, and COLTS

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for overseeing integrated logistic strategies and the efficient flow of goods, services and information within a Depot Repair and Overhaul environment. Ensures that contractual and time objectives are achieved within the existing financial constraints to meet objectives. Participates in interpreting and executing policies and procedures, and recommends modifications to operating processes. Participates in technical meetings for internal and external representative and represents the organization on significant matters.

  • Assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing direction while ensuring administrative processes are completed within established timelines.
  • Moving, tracking, and creating all documents and historical files for all Depot repairs.
  • Conducting accurate data entry into multiple GA-ASI and Government databases.
  • Reviewing and interpreting reports for accuracy and trends while providing insightful recommendations to Depot management.
  • Retrieving, tracking and entering flights and flight hours for all company aircraft.
  • Creating and maintaining weekly and monthly flight reports for distribution to senior management, and internal customers.
  • Supporting Depot Engineers, Engineering Manufacturing Liaisons, Quality, Purchasing and the Depot Management team as required.
  • Providing training opportunities for professional growth and increased organizational flexibility.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of standard Depot processes.
  • Participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required professional talent.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established procedures and practices.
