Your new company
As one of the world leaders in bulk commodities, this business works closely with their customers to create a meaningful impact through innovative solutions. With sites and offices across Australia, they are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Supervisor to join their team in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
Your new role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Promptly responding to logistics enquiries and service delivery requirements
  • Assisting in managing the import/export operations across air and sea
  • Maintaining freight rates through SAP
  • Monitoring of movements through collaborating with 3PL’s across both road and rail
  • Ensuring timely receipt and dispatch as per schedule
  • Managing procurement of local 3PL for both warehousing and transport
  • Assisting in negotiating prices for service, ensuring security of supplies
  • Work closely with the customer service team and the Supply Chain Manager

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Extensive supply chain experience in 3PL liaison
  • Bulk commodities experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the dangerous goods space
  • Computer literacy with a primary focus on Excel and SAP
  • A very strong understanding of national 3PL processes for road and rail
  • A sound commercial acumen
