Purpose of Position
This position will be part of the team that supports the Native Aging in Place Project (NAPP) under the National Resource Center on Native American Aging (NRCNAA). Job duties will include assisting with project activities related to Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) and Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) needs for North Dakota Tribal Elders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to independent Qualified Service Providers (QSPs) via phone, email, Zoom, and/or in-person.
Provide support to independent QSPs and agencies with Therap.
Assist the LTSS Tribal Liaison in coordinating training for curriculums.
Assist the QSP agency staff in developing a strategic plan and updating policies and procedures, as needed.
Assist with outreach activities to keep NAPP partners and stakeholders informed of available services, opportunities, education, and training.
Assist with technical assistance requests from ND tribes building their LTSS infrastructure.
Provide support to ND tribes navigating LTSS and third-party Medicaid billing opportunities.
Support other program activities and projects as requested.
Required Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid report writing skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Have experience with long-term support and services (LTSS).
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Therap.
Experience with ND HCBS Medicaid Waiver and related information.
Experience working successfully with American Indian populations, preferably Elders.
Training and teaching skills.
