Description:
SKILLS, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WILL ALSO INCLUDE:
- Tertiary degree in a relevant Human services field or similar (or significant experience in a similar role)
- Knowledge and understanding of issues related to refugees and migrants who have experienced trauma and displacement.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of case management and group facilitation.
- A commitment to improving the quality of life, skills and independence of people in a trauma-informed way
- Drivers Licence
- Working with Children’s Check
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last six months)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Mercycare has partnered with Loop Foundation, a WA-based social enterprise, to provide diverse employment and training opportunities for people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, and other disadvantaged people in the community with experiencing barriers to sustainable employment.
Reporting to the Manager Multicultural Services North, the Loop Project Officer role plays a critical role as conduit, between the Loop Foundation and Mercycare stakeholders, as well as providing critical person centred wrap-around case management support, resources and information to clients. The position is primarily based between our Mirrabooka facility and at the LOOP warehouse in Malaga on a one year fixed term basis on 30 hours per week.
