Job Description:
Torch is seeking a flight test subject matter expert to provide advisory and assistance services in support of a DOD ACAT I program at Eglin AFB, FL. A successful candidate will have a long history of flight test experience. The LRSO program office needs an experienced technically minded individual to help ensure flight tests are appropriately planned and resourced. The selected candidate will be responsible to write/review test plans to ensure appropriate methods are used to measure desired performance parameters. The selectee will work in a team of diverse backgrounds and will learn multiple aspects of each test to ensure all stakeholder needs are met. The selectee will review and provide feedback on test reports. Lastly, a successful candidate will be able to present on all of these subjects and lead meetings on the subjects as needed.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in flight testing to include the below essential duties:
- Write/review test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Provide technical feedback on the necessary measurements/tools/processes to successfully.
- Demonstrate performance of a flying weapon system.
- Work with a team of various skills/backgrounds to develop test events and ensure stakeholder needs are met by the design and execution of various ground and flight tests.
- Present test plans and procedures to gain approval from leadership to proceed with testing.
- Present test results to stakeholders and provide interpretation of the results.
- Support the team in getting equipment, test hardware, range time, etc. planned and scheduled.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have a current DOD Secret Clearance (or US Gov equivalent) and must be TS eligible. Must maintain clearance at required level.
- Must have experience in an Air Force Program Office.
- Must have 15+ years of ground/flight test experience.
- Must have 20+ years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field is desired.
This position requires candidates to possess a current SECRET security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a SECRET security clearance will result in a candidate being ineligible for this position.
