As a Yield Development Engineer you will perform the following:
Manages a team of yield development engineers providing leadership on factory operation support and driving yield improvement roadmaps. Evaluates methods and tools continually to drive defect reduction and yield improvement including driving and guiding development efforts with core competency and metrology groups. Strategizes optimal inline monitoring scheme and invents methods including custom process flows and test layout designs to detect EOL fails inline. Develops and deploys tools, algorithms, and methodologies for generation and analysis of inline and offline yield and defect data, applies statistical methods, and draws meaningful conclusions to help direct the efforts of the organization. Develops recommendations, drives yield, defects indicators, and manages communications with factory. Demonstrates ability to develop and harden equipment capable of meeting technology development and high volume manufacturing operational and capability needs for leading edge logic node. Develops longterm strategies for process integration and yield engineering capabilities to support future requirements. Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results. Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and internship experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering and/or Science discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering AND 9+ years of experience with semiconductor processing, semiconductor devices and circuits device physics or Nanotechnology, OR
- Master’s degree in an Engineering and/or Science discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering AND 8+ years of experience with semiconductor processing, semiconductor devices and circuits device physics or Nanotechnology, OR
- PhD degree in an Engineering and/or Science discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering AND 4+ years of experience with semiconductor processing, semiconductor devices and circuits device physics or Nanotechnology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years of experience in the following:
- Extensive experience in Laser Optics, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Digital Signal Processing and Image Processing.
- Demonstrate experience of Statistical Process Control SPC or Design of Experiments (DOE) principles.
- Experience in equipment skills and experience maintaining semiconductor equipment.
- Demonstration experience to work with external and internal partners.
