We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Dining Captain for our lūʻau service. The Dining Captain will play a pivotal role in overseeing the front-of-house operations, ensuring the smooth flow of service, and leading a team of food servers and table attendants. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or captain role within the restaurant industry.
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume dining environment.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the food server and table attendant team during evening shifts.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate service expectations and address any specific requirements.
- Guest Experience:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining a welcoming and efficient dining environment.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Service Coordination:
- Oversee the coordination of table assignments, seating arrangements, and overall dining service.
- Monitor the pacing of service to maintain a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff to enhance their service skills.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure food presentation, timing, and service standards are consistently met.
- Address any issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communication:
- Foster clear communication between front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Collaborate with management on improving service processes and enhancing the overall dining experience.
