Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) in a student and business-facing role where you will work to enhance our highly successful placement and internships offer.
LUMS is a quadruple-accredited, world-ranked management school, ranked 10th in the 2025 Complete University Guide. At the heart of the student experience is our innovative LUMS Careers team, which makes a significant impact on the career development and employability of our students.
This is a busy and wide-ranging role where you will advise and guide students on our placement year schemes – approximately 200 students in each year group. You will also increase our student engagement with internships and other employer-led opportunities and facilitate the internship option on our MBA programme.
You will be a professional with related experience, excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload. This role will include delivering workshops, supporting the in-curricular teaching of our career’s modules and one to one career appointments with students.
You will work closely with employers in a variety of ways including creating unique placement and internship opportunities for our students and liaising with employers on placement visits either in person or virtually.
The ability to work collaboratively online and in person, and to support students on campus and remotely is critical to the success of this role. With excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, you will be a crucial part of our award-winning team.
We are in a beautiful part of Northwest England with great facilities and a warm and welcoming community. We offer an occupational pension scheme, a generous annual leave allowance, excellent training and development opportunities, flexible benefits, an employee assistance programme, and flexible hybrid working options.
If you share our commitment to excellent service and enjoy working in a fast-paced and friendly environment, we would love to hear from you.
This is an indefinite full-time post.
