DESCRIPTION

Key Job Elements:

  • Be proficient and/or possess advanced knowledge in one or more of the following IPT roles:
  • ILS Project Management
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure logistics products/new designs are developed in accordance with prime contract(s) requirements and Logistics SDRLs are delivered on time
  • Liaise closely with the ED&T groups to update internal/external schedules and assist with the resolution of day-to-day issues
  • Coordinate and support the GDLS-C CCR and subcontractor ECP process including implementation of the change(s)
  • Assist Logistics Support Analysis and Technical Publications development and delivery to customer
  • Coordinate and assist with project(s) execution for scope, cost and schedule using EVMS and departmental procedures and guidance documents
  • Assist in the investigation, analysis and recommendation of corrective actions to address project and test issues
  • Attend customer and subcontractor meetings as required (In process reviews, Log Demo, Verification, etc.)
  • Receive/address incoming correspondence from internal/external customer for impacts to Logistics
  • Provisioning/Parts Content Developer:
  • Receive, organize, and document system specifications, engineering drawings, bill of materials, and vendor data
  • Document the physical breakdown of the vehicle, assembly and/or subsystem(s) in accordance with applicable military standards and approved customer maintenance concept
  • Document and maintain the parts data in the Logistics Support Analysis Record database
  • Develop/write recommended repair parts catalogues as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and sub-systems
  • Plan and track progress of assigned activities
  • Maintenance Engineering Content Developer:
  • Analyze vehicle system functionality and identify probable failure modes that could impact system performance/safety
  • Identify and recommend specials tools and test equipment that the customer may require in order to effectively support their vehicles
  • Write clear, step-by-step maintenance instructions describing how to remove, repair and replace vehicle system components and assemblies
  • Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and sub-systems
  • Diagnostics Engineering Content Developer:
  • Analysis of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical system functionality to determine most efficient troubleshooting methodology (perform Fault Tree Analysis and/or Failure Mode Effect Analysis of system/component)
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints and subcontractor data
  • Validate correctness of procedure on vehicle and/or component
  • Development of fault insertion tools and non-destructive faults for use in validation of troubleshooting procedures
  • Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and sub-systems
  • In addition support, lead and/or perform the following functions:
  • Provide recommendations to leadership for executing projects
  • Creation and maintenance of diagnostic task lists and status documents
  • Creation and maintenance of maintenance task lists and status documents
  • Ensure alignment between maintenance, diagnostics and parts breakdown in proposed maintenance concept
  • Support oversight of performance against program and internal schedules
  • Engage in software and design activities, ensuring testability and fault characterization is considered in relation to Customer maintenance philosophy
  • Work with R&M team to conduct Logistics Front-End Analyses (such as FMECA, RCM, accessibility, tooling and commonality) to influence design
  • Preparation and presentation of proposed maintenance concept at customer meetings
  • Ensure data integrity of LSAR in order to prepare and deliver LSA reports to the customer
  • Review of change requests and determining level of impact to technical manuals and other Logistics products
  • Provides recommendations to leadership for training needs
  • Develop and maintain new hire training material
  • Assist supervisor with task delegation and project direction
  • Maintain the configuration and revision of the data in the database as well as all supporting documents
  • Proactively communicate with other Engineering teams and departments
  • Actively participate in cross-team LPD CIP initiatives, process reviews, process development, etc.
  • Lead/support quality spill investigations and corrective action implementation for applicable programs/projects in collaboration with quality teams

Required Qualifications:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a technical or related discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • High levels of written and oral communications skills, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience with development of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) content
  • Experience with standards and tools used in the production of logistics products, e.g. S1000D, Arbotext, Eagle/EPS, IsoDraw, VisMockup, MIL-STD-1388, -40051, GEIA-Std-0007b, and SLICwave
  • Experience dealing with customer logistics requirements and/or attending customer logistics conferences/meetings
  • Ability to travel (10% Cdn) and (10% US & Int’l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
  • Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined space

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in multiple Logistics Engineering disciplines

  • Proficient knowledge in the operation, maintenance and integration of military vehicle components and systems
