For 50 years, Your Community Health has been working in melbourne’s north to provide a wide range of services, including medical, dental, allied health, COVID response, social support, Aboriginal Health, and Trans and Gender Diverse healthcare. Our purpose-driven approach focuses on community development and addressing health inequalities.
About the Lymphoedema Therapist role
You’ll join a dedicated team in our Medical Services Practice, where you’ll support clients with Lymphoedema therapy and associated conditions. You’ll be responsible for providing assessment, treatment and education to clients, ensuring they receive high quality and holistic care as part of our unique multi-disciplinary service.
Reporting to the Manager - Medical Services, this is an ongoing part-time role (0.4 FTE).

Responsibilities:

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • A relevant qualification/s in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or a related discipline.
  • Completion of Lymphoedema Training Course (at least Level 1, with intention to undertake Level 2).
  • Current AHPRA Registration and eligibility for membership with National Lymphoedema Practitioners Register.
  • Applied knowledge, experience and skills in Lymphoedema therapy.
  • Understanding of the social model of health and a sensitivity to the needs of marginalised people.
