Position: M365 Engineer – SharePoint/Teams
Datacom Location: Wellington preferred for easier training, other places in NZ may be considered.
* Note: we are hoping the successful candidate can attain security clearances to work on government projects so preference for NZ Citizens and Residents who have resided in NZ for over 5 years *

Our offices are based in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch though this role has a strong preference for Wellington-based applicants. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. What You’ll Do

  • Assist in managing SharePoint Online and Teams environments, including site collections and user permissions.
  • Provide 3rd level support to end-users for SharePoint and Teams issues.
  • Help configure user access controls and security settings.
  • Support the implementation of governance policies and regular maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in conducting training sessions and creating user documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand their requirements.
  • Stay updated with the latest features and updates from Microsoft.

What You’ll Bring

  • Basic understanding of SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and related services (e.g., OneDrive, Exchange Online).
  • Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Understanding of basic data security best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
