M365 Lead Project Engineer - FTC
Job Purpose
The M365 Lead Project Engineer will be a key part of our Tenant Migration project and will be responsible for the planning and migration actions required in a move from UK to Mazars Global tenant. Supporting all remediation and transitional activities across the suite of M365 applications: Exchange Online, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online; AvePoint (M365 backup) and additionally dependencies across Power Applications and MS D365.
The candidate will provide 3rd line M365 consultation for the organisation with the primary aspect of the role being focused on project work packages and deliverables. The role will be responsible for leading on technical readiness and transition in the M365 tenant to ensure the success of project.
The role would suit an individual who has worked or experienced tenant migrations and supported in a similar environment and in a related business area.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Digital Services Manager, this role is focused on the project but will provide consultation support of the delivery team across the Mazars UK portfolio of M365 technical services and estate. The position is a key role for the service team support model and will backup the product SME on enhancement or future service improvement opportunities though the engagement.
In the role the individual will maintain delivery of the highest standards in quality service delivery and operational standards and that they will ensure continuity across day-to-day availability and high level of functionality of the core platform.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Microsoft 365 product suite, including but not limited to:
  • Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online
  • Microsoft security, compliance and identity, including but not limited to:
  • Azure Information Protection, DLP, Security Centre, Compliance Centre, Retention Policies
  • Additional technical experience, including but not limited to:
  • AvePoint (M365 backup), Windows 10 Lifecycle Management, Modern Endpoint Management, Intune, PowerShell Scripting, Multiple Domain AD Environments, Power Platform.
  • Experience work on projects, leading design and implementing development.
  • Strong investigative, analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyse complex business requirements, requests, or problems and translate into appropriate actions and technical solutions.
  • Business awareness: specific knowledge of the organization’s business areas, drivers, structure, priorities etc. would be desirable.
  • Experience of delivering end-user training and producing/maintaining training documentation
  • Experience producing and updating system documentation.

There is an experienced team in place to work with whom the candidate will work closely, and it would be advantageous that the candidate would have experience in a professional services area.
