Qualifications
- Currently in the last year of a Masters degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field from a top university
- Strong programming skills in Python with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms, libraries and applications, including time series and natural language processing
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus
- Experience with transformers libraries and generative pretrained transformers training and/or finetuning is a strong plu
Responsibilities:
The duration of a paid tech internship with us is at least 6 months (or 26 weeks).
We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our Insights & Analytics team, where you will work closely with our data scientists and engineers to develop and implement quantitative models and algorithms for our platform. You will also have the opportunity to work on exciting projects related to machine learning, data analytics, and data visualization.
Responsibilities include
- Building and implementing cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms for our financial data management platform (time series, natural language processing and/or ideally generative pretrained transformers)
- Collaborating closely with our machine learning scientist and quantitative developers to seamlessly integrate and optimize machine learning models
- Engaging across teams to conceptualize and execute the incorporation of machine learning-driven features
- Proactively researching and exploring emerging machine learning methodologies and techniques
- Actively contributing to code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and implement best practices in machine learning deployment
