The Innovation Center sees itself as the spearhead for industrializing the latest research and putting it to beneficial use for customers. We experiment not only with technologies and methods but also with organizational forms and business models. We are guided by the question of how an increasingly globalized and urban society can be developed in a secure and sustainable manner, whose organizations and systems are already networked at Internet speed.
We are looking for an Aerospace enthusiast with a solid background in machine learning and software engineering to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for initiating, leading, and contributing to our innovative projects while simultaneously developing and realizing a strategic vision for the future of space within our company.

Tätigkeit:

• Apply your skills in software engineering and Machine Learning in ongoing projects
• Lead and contribute to the development of cutting-edge space technologies, with a focus on edge AI solutions
• Support in developing and realizing our business strategy in the New Space field
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand requirements and identify opportunities
• Engage with potential customers and partners and actively contribute to project aquisition in the national and european market
• Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in the fields of new space and communication technology and AI

Voraussetzungen:

• A degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Geoinformatics, or a related field
• Strong programming skills (Python, C++ or Rust) and proficient in data structures and algorithms
• Proficient Linux knowledge
• Experience with FastAPI and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Proactive in seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation and taking ownership in your work
• Strong entrepreneurial thinking with the capacity to make and implement decisions benefiting the organization
• Experience with building embedded systems (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Jetson, …) is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in German and English to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholder
