We are seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer Intern to join Aspect’s highly multidisciplinary research and product development team. In this role, you will help create modern machine learning, computer vision, and LLM applications to support and accelerate Aspect’s tissue design and therapeutic workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS



    • Education: PhD student enrolled in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related fields with strong math and programming skills.

    • Development Experience: Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping with machine learning and deep learning libraries. Familiarity with cloud computing, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.
    • Software Experience: Experience in planning and executing reliableand test-driven code. Understanding Git and familiarity with code, data, and ML model version-control practices.
    • Technical Skills Set: Machine learning, data analysis, and scientific computing packages, e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Pandas, SQL. Familiarity with scientific image analysis tools such as ImageJ, ImageScope, and QuPath are extra.
    • Research Experience: Papers at relevant conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, MICCAI, etc. are extra.
      The hiring range for this role is $3,500 - $6,000 per month. Our ranges are based on market data and offered salaries will be based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and develop state-of-the-art computer vision, LLM, and deep learning technologies.
    • Work on high-impact real-world problems and datasets, including image and video analysis, biomedical imaging, multimodal data processing, data mining, structure prediction, foundation models, supervised, self-supervised, and unsupervised learning, active learning, and model uncertainty.
    • Contribute to end-to-end ML software development from problem formulation and data curation to model design, optimization, evaluation, and deployment.
    • Provide feedback on Aspect’s products and contribute to technical product development discussions.
    • Maintain rigorous documentation records following Aspect’s standards.
