Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Conscious of safety hazards and their impact
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations is mandatory
  • Strong mechanical skills required
  • Ability to perform accurate and precise mathematical calculations is essential
  • Strong oral and written English language communication skills necessary
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery or driving a forklift would be considered an asset
  • Must be able to work 3 shift rotation

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to perform labour tasks, operation, and control of equipment, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently
  • Line start up and shut down
  • Machine set up, line changes
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is calibrated and PMs maintained
  • Hourly machine checks, including machine adjustments.
  • Take samples for QC department
  • Keep your work area safe, clean, and well maintained.
  • Take timely action to correct unsafe work conditions in your work area
  • Work safely in accordance with AIL safety standards – actively engaging in safety initiatives promoting our safety culture
  • Ensure product produced is package properly
  • Ensure product is stored according to procedures
  • Report all major repairs needed and assist in repairing if possible
  • Communicate all safety concerns, incidents, and process deficiencies to the Plant Manager
  • Fill out all necessary production tracking information
  • Other duties as required
