Machine Operator I

at  Cavendish Farms

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12)
• Minimum of 1 years of experience working as an Operator in a manufacturing company
• Basic computer skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to meet heavy physical expectations, including lifting and operating machinery.

• Solve Problems daily to improve your roles and areas
• Set up and Operate PEF, Cutter deck, Wet grading and wet sorting
• Set up and operate Co Line sorter
• Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping in this area and all workstations
• Perform all in line quality testing at regularly defined frequencies (sliver loss, sorter efficiency, cut quality etc.)
• Compare and analyze line settings vs. standard work
• Utilizing SPC to make adjustments, optimize equipment and answer all alarms (ACC and CAC)
• Calibrate and adjust sorters and ADR
• Manage cutter heads and blades (inspect cutter heads, rebuild cutter heads if needed, change blades on spindles)
• OCU cleaning / sanitizing equipment
• Maintain and clean camera lenses on sorters, ADR and lights
• Meeting/Exceeding required performance and cost targets (rates, waste, recovery)
• Update daily management boards and documents
