Macmillan Head & Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist - Band 6

As a Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist you will be completing nurse led assessments of patient needs and coordinating patients ongoing journey from point of referral at time of diagnosis and beyond. You will be an advocate for the patient to ensure their choices and decisions are being followed and respected. You will provide emotional support for patients and their carers/relatives during their treatment and care.You will be involved in working collaboratively, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, to develop and advise highly specialised programme of care for patients. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist you will need to maintain ongoing professional development to ensure you are following current evidence based guidelines, policies and procedures for patient care.
