The Cork Campus are currently seeking applications for Magellan Finance Principal.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Magellan is a global business transformation program accompanying a move of our ERP system from SAP ECC to S4 HANA. Magellan’s goal is to simplify, standardize and modernize our core business processes, enabling BSC to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth. As the Principal Business Analyst, Magellan Finance Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful Business Transformation for BSC Finance. This role will be a regional role initially reporting to the Finance Director, Cork with a joint reporting line to the S4 Site Lead & Magellan Finance Team. This role will be responsible for supporting all stages of the project: planning, requirements gathering, design, coordinate testing, go live & post go live sustaining. A key aspect of the role will be to ensure process reviews run in parallel to the project to identify & implement CI opportunities from the new technology. The role will require strong project management with extensive collaboration across all key stakeholder groups.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lead the Cork Magellan Finance team to a successful transition to S4 and subsequently the future Galway Finance implementation team.
  • As part of the deployment team liaise & coordinate with other Magellan Project Teams, Magellan Finance Leaders, Maple Grove Magellan Finance team, Magellan GBS teams & other key stakeholders to ensure to ensure a successful transition to S4.
  • Become a SME in relation to Magellan Finance with capability to recognize implications of key changes across all aspects of Finance (Controls/compliance, statutory, financial flows/transactions, product costing, management reporting, project accounting etc). Ensure right stakeholders are made aware of implications & involved in decision making.
  • Set up the Finance S4 Project Teams, develop project plans with clear roles & responsibilities across all areas impacted. Ensure appropriate people from the regions Finance teams are involved in the right sessions/workshops/training. Optimize use of the Finance teams – right people at the right time recognizing that resources are limited & ongoing finance responsibilities must be met.
  • Develop communication plan to ensure appropriate communications within the Finance teams & wider site holders.
  • Ensure all Finance requirements are identified & prioritized.
  • Act as site representative (Super User) with Magellan Finance Team during Build
  • Clearly identify the opportunities that S4 will bring to Finance. Review end to end processes to incorporate best practices & to ensure S4 benefits are achieved.
  • Coordinate with Core team to ensure appropriate testing & training in advance of go live.
  • Proactively influence local & global Finance leaders in areas of new concepts, adoption of Best Practice and work to simplify and standardize to best practice across Finance Business processes and Applications.
  • Creating an environment that encourages constructive feedback and coaching and proactive developmental support for all employees
  • Fostering an inclusive workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational and personal objectives
  • Develop way of working for manufacturing site deployment relating to Operations Finance which can be leveraged for future sites.
