The purpose of the role
Griffith Foods is looking for a Maintenance Lead to support operations on site. You will support our long-range plan making Griffith Foods the industry leader for the chosen categories, by the promotion of a lean manufacturing culture through an operational excellence mindset.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • You will support the team of maintenance workers and technical staff.
  • You are responsible for the correct registration of hours, used spares and work description inside our CMMS tool. End responsibility for closing the maintenance related workorders.
  • It’s your responsibility to execute the planned and unplanned work regarding quality, safety and hygienical rules.
  • You will motivate and evaluate your team of 8 perm workers and external contractors.
  • You facilitate trainings and build up a complete knowledge matrix.
  • Together with the work preparer you follow-up on projects.
  • You are responsible for the day-to-day planning and availability of the maintenance technicians: vacation, sick leave, workload, …
  • In collaboration with the Maintenance Manager you will be the lead in hiring new staff or contractors.
  • You will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance, food industry, chemistry or equivalent required.
  • Data driven and strong technical skills.
  • Process-oriented: translate calamities in improvement opportunities.
  • A basic understanding of Lean principles.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Dutch and English.
  • Strong communication, leading and coaching skills.
  • Team player, constructive and positive approach, well organized with a proactive “can do” mentality
