Coastal luxury meets unparalleled elegance at Mantra Sirocco and Zanzibar, located along the Sunshine Coast’s peaceful Mooloolaba Esplanade. No two days are the same working across the Sirocco and Zanzibar properties, which comprise of two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses with spacious balconies and panoramic ocean views, seasonally heated pool and spa, sundeck, BBQ area, and gym. There is plenty to do in and around Mooloolaba and the Sunshine Coast on your days off; from surfing, abseiling and rock climbing, to exploring Australia Zoo, visiting the local markets, or simply relaxing on the beach.
Purpose

As Maintenance Assistant, you will be the master of all trades, prepared to take on any maintenance, repair, or improvement challenge that may arise. You possess the ability to spot issues before they escalate (today’s leak could become tomorrow’s flood!) and you skilfully employ your handy tools to address a diverse range of tasks, ensuring the property remains in impeccable condition.

• This is a Part-Time position, however opportunity for it to be Casual for the right candidate!

Primary Responsibilities

• Take charge of ensuring that all rooms, amenities, and communal spaces within the property are well-maintained and in excellent condition
• Collaborate with a diverse team, requiring both a cooperative mindset and the ability to work independently
• Encounter stimulating challenges that require innovative solutions
• Be thoroughly trained and provided information on how to progress in your field

Skills and Experience

• Comfortable in a physical role, have a get-up-and-go attitude and be someone who won’t stop until the job is completed in a safe and presentable manner
• Prior experience in property maintenance and familiarity with preventative maintenance programs is a plus
• Confident in communicating effectively at all levels, from the General Manager, to guests and contractors working onsite
• Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays
