EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (mechanical / Electrical) or Millwright or Electrician or equivalent technical experience.

TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation Certification or License preferred.
  • Certificate in Project Management would be an asset

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Food / Pharma industry experience a definite asset, but not essential.
  • Minimum 5 year in industrial setting with 2 years in maintenance supervision or Coordination.

Responsibilities:

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

Improves the performance and effectiveness of the maintenance group by coordinating and prioritizing work orders, making recommendations to improve current procedures, ensuring that critical parts are available as needed, and facilitating communication between the production and maintenance groups.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritize work orders and develop a daily/weekly / monthly schedule.
  • Organized record-keeping
  • Review PM (Planned Maintenance) work order history and contribute to the PM schedule to optimized equipment reliability & labor.
  • Provide the Maintenance Manager with analysis on the department’s performance against established KPI’s.
  • Monitor and maintain Parts Inventory to ensure work orders are timely.
  • Review and close-out completed work orders.
  • Facilitate communications between Maintenance and other departments.
  • Periodically review policies and processes to ensure best practice throughout the department.
  • Develop and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) reports on equipment.
  • Review Equipment Vender PM content for modification/application.
  • Understand, comply with and promote all company safety rules, GMP’s, company policies, regulations, and documentation.
  • Ensure the effective capacity utilization, reliability and life cycle asset management.
  • Assist maintenance mechanics as necessary and perform all other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours if required.
  • Must follow food safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned.
