Description:
GFL Environmental Services is looking for an electrician for our Missisauga location. Must have 309A and valid G license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES;
- Must be a Certified Ontario Licensed Electrician 309A or 442
- Completion of community college or equivalent specialized trade courses
- Proven Supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Must be willing to work shifts, and be available for overtime & weekends as required

Responsibilities:
- Receive instruction, plan and execute work task
- Supervise and assign duties to staff
- Maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair and install industrial electrical equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, adjust and install industrial instrumentation equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot and install power distribution, ccts panel and transformer
- Install cable tray, teck cables, EMT and rigid circuits
- Read and interpret manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams, blueprints, drawings, schematics and Canadian electrical code specifications
- Respond to emergency equipment failures
- Ensure all work complies with Safety Standards and all Applicable Codes
- Develop and follow maintenance procedures for electrical equipment
- Organize, coordinate and work with outside contractors and Inspectors
- Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers, contractors and customers
- Housekeeping; work in an outdoor environment
