Description:

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

CREGG are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Roscommon based manufacturing client. This role is permanent with benefits and competitive salary

The Maintenance Engineer will be working closely with the site Engineering Manager and will involve the following duties :

  • Assess work orders with the requestor to determine work priority
  • Determine the work requirements with regard to equipment availability, labour, skills, materials and tools .
  • Identify and obtain all work permits and parts required for the planned maintenance jobs
  • Maintain and enter planned information into the Computerised Maintenance Management System
  • Identify and provide drawings required to support the job plan
  • Monitor the unplanned backlog and ensure jobs are being planned in a timely manner.
  • Schedule the maintenance work orders for the maintenance hours available.
  • Capture the craft labour hours from job worksheets.
  • Identify the maintenance hours per activity , ie Reactive Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance.
  • Assist with the development of planned maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with Management where required in the development of metrics and information that will improve maintenance excellence on site
  • Assist with maintenance spare parts stock control.
  • Manage maintenance contractor inductions and permits to work
  • Skills and Experience
  • 3rd Level Engineering qualification with 2yrs experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrate drive and determination
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Technical, manual and practical skills
  • Good decision maker
  • A methodical approach to their workGood numeracy and PC skills.
