Description:

SUCCESS REQUIREMENTS

  • Mechanical Fitting Trade qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of welding fabrication standards.
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics (desirable).
  • Ability to interpret schematic drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in working with maintenance systems.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Effective multitasking to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Examine faulty machinery and equipment for defects.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and compliance to all WHS policies and procedures.
  • Use hand tools to fit and assemble parts, which require knowledge of principles of mechanics.
  • Ensure plant mechanical assets are fully maintained to promote efficient operation of equipment.
  • Complete planned, unplanned and requested maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Perform fault-finding analysis and diagnosis of maintenance issues and undertake problem solving to resolve/repair issues to minimise impact on production.
  • Liaise with management, supervisors, maintenance team and operators to resolve breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct proactive breakdown analysis and identify plant problem areas.
  • Work in accordance with industry standards, legislation, codes of practice and company procedures.
