SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Qualified fitter or welder, or equivalent trade qualification.
• Experience in working in a heavy equipment, mine or plant environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be responsive and flexible.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Committed to contributing to a safe working environment.
• Excellent internal customer service orientation.
• Ability to prioritize to meet objectives.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work shifts as required.
• Current LV driver’s license.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing repairs and services on heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards and organizational procedures. These roles require strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing repairs and services in accordance with work orders, scheduled services using workshop Unit manuals as appropriate.
• Requisitioning parts etc, as needed to perform work, from the Maintenance Leading Hand.
• Performing job safety analysis prior to commencing allocated jobs documenting and completing all reports on equipment repaired or serviced.
• Ensuring that the work area, tools, and equipment are maintained in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
• Working a reasonable amount of overtime or staying over at the expense of the organisation, if appropriate, to meet the needs of the organisation.
• Ensuring compliance to the organisation’s Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management System for all responsible areas.
• Operating plant as and when required.
