Description:

Location: South Marston Industrial Estate
Salary: £40,000 - £42,500 per annum
Working Days / Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00
Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Operations - this role will plan PPM, lead engineers across 4 shifts, drive day-to-day service and maintenance of the laundry equipment at Big Blue and occasional maintenance of the equipment at our other lagoons as well as liaising with third-party contractors with the primary goal of proactively reducing machine downtime. You will be required to work in a highly automated environment and use your technical skills to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of the equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • KPI Accountability/Management - Be responsible for and improve our KPIs that are maintenance related. These include but are not limited to downtime reduction and reduction of maintenance related spend.
  • PPM Planning - build a robust PPM schedule to ensure the maximum uptime of all equipment. This should be built by building relationships with third-party providers and fostering your existing knowledge to support the process implementation.
  • Ensure Servicing & PPMs - Be responsible for the completion of the PPM schedule and servicing via 3rd party contractors or your maintenance team.
  • Fault Finding - proactively find and prevent faults occurring to equipment reducing breakages and downtime. Report any defects to the site manager that will impact operations.
  • In-House Engineering - provide a core competency of engineering skills and be responsible for maintaining machinery to a high standard and minimising issues. Also to share this knowledge with your team and input into continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration with external specialists - where specific knowledge/skills are required, you will be responsible for liaising with third parties to solve any issues with the hardware and plan for future installations with a maintenance mentality.
  • Stock management - establishing the critical spares required, monitoring stock levels of spare parts and ordering new items. This is done with cost in mind and ensuring we operate a cost effective model when managing stock.
  • Health and Safety - ensuring health and safety procedures are followed throughout the facility and improving processes over time. Also manage external contractors H&S to ensure they are compliant with our standard
