ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

At BaptistCare, our focus is on our residents. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, we have an exciting opportunity for a maintenance officer/Handy person to perform general maintenance duties, ensuring our residents’ home is well maintained and compliant with regulations.
You will anticipate, schedule, and complete repairs as needed, and assist with work orders. Responsibilities include managing the register of keys, rotating through room checklists to address repair items, and assisting with managing the fire panel for isolations. Additionally, you will support with relocating residents’ rooms as required.
This role is ideal for a capable multitasker who thrives on achieving goals quickly, within specified timeframes and budgets.

Duties: not limited to

  • Assist with planned maintenance and conduct physical inspections of property and premises
  • Support and assist the Maintenance Team Leader in executing maintenance work.
  • Ensure compliance of all relevant documentation.
  • Perform gardening duties.
  • Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance work.
  • Conduct physical inspections of property and premises and report findings.
  • Perform tasks within the scope of relevant qualifications.
