    Responsibilities:

    At Genesis Health + Fitness we pride ourselves on having clean and well maintained clubs. With this in mind we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Handyperson who will ensure minimal downtime in the equipment breakdowns, ensure equipment is serviced regularly, and who will ensure the facility maintenance is kept at the highest level .
    The position will require you to effectively maintain and service all departments of Genesis fitness clubs across the Newcastle and Hunter area. You will be tasked at ensuring the building and equipment is maintained and operates at all times and that downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.

    We are looking for a trustworthy, energetic individual who can work unsupervised with the support and guidance of our Regional Fitness Manager. Some key responsibilities of this hands on role are:

    • Maintenance of fitness/ gym equipment
    • Maintenance of public areas, furnishings, and fixtures
    • Air conditioning filter cleaning
    • Minor building works such as: patching and painting, minor alterations
    • Urgently repair any WHS hazards to make safe
