About the Site:
Norco’s iconic Ice-Cream Factory in Lismore is a key part of Norco’s manufacturing business. Recently rebuilt after the devastating flood in 2022, this new and improved factory has been operational since September 2023 with three key lines fully operational. There is excess capacity at the site and this will form part of the exciting challenge for the maintenance team in delivering key growth and efficiency projects.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role plays a key part in Norco’s newly commissioned plant, how it beds in good process and how new opportunities are capitalised on with new equipment driven by increased demand. This dynamic environment will offer the right candidate a unique opportunity to be part of supporting our current and future asset capability.
Reporting the Site Manager, and leading a team of 16 fitters, electricians and affiliated staff, your prime responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining safe and efficient operation of plant, equipment and services for the site
- Leading, coaching, developing and resourcing the maintenance team and ensuring their performance meets the sites needs
- Developing and implementing data driven maintenance strategies to ensure asset reliability and safety
- Creating and managing budgets for asset maintenance and replacement
- Evaluating the need for asset replacement or upgrades and associated management systems
- Installing, design and construct new plant and equipment to the necessary standards as required
- Implementing practices and innovative technologies
- Ensured compliance with regulatory authorities and the companies Food and Safety and Quality systems, policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:
- 5+ years experience in leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment with tight deadlines
- Trade, asset and reliability or engineering qualifications considered favorably
- Project management experience in generating business cases, sourcing and delivery of maintenance projects greater than $5m
- Experience in delivery safe work systems and monitoring adherence
- Exposure to food manufacturing and the related food quality systems
- A positive, consultative and engaging leadership style
