Responsibilities:

  • Enforce the safety program for the maintenance department.
  • Lead and initiate maintenance group with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
  • Manage all site maintenance personnel.
  • Support the maintenance personnel onsite to ensure that they are adequately trained and equipped to complete assigned maintenance duties.
  • Participate with the hiring of maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians.
  • Participate in the development and updating of operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
  • Review the operation of plant equipment and systems, to minimize unplanned downtime and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify potential projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Ensure proper tracking, analyzing and improvements of maintenance KPIs.
  • Maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
