DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Process Operations Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent coordinates and takes accountability for all maintenance activities in the Duketon South operation (DSO). You will also ensure continuity of operations is achieved in accordance with budget output and quality objectives.
This is a FIFO role, working on a 15:13 roster (ex-Perth).
About the role
Promote, inspire and instill a positive safety culture while also implementing maintenance safety systems to reduce material risk
Be a visible safety leader in the DSO Process Operations department
Heavily support and lead the DSO Process Operations housekeeping campaign to ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in the maintenance and LV workshops, operational areas and offices
Lead and influence the Maintenance Supervisors to establish a high-performance team culture in the maintenance department
Ensure maintenance KPI’s and costs are on or ahead of budget by actively leading supervisors to ensure targets are achieved
Be involved in the capital budgeting process and complete capital and engineering projects assigned to your work group within budget and time frames provided
Set goals and coordinate the activities of Maintenance, Project and Reliability and LV workshop Supervisors
Liaise with the Processing department to ensure optimal equipment and plant availability
Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports/presentations on maintenance activities as required by DSO Manager Process Operations
Prepare a monthly capital projects progress report for the Manager Process Operations
Prepare and undertake presentations to the DSO Manager Process Operations in respect of maintenance related activities as required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

About You
Tertiary degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline) preferred
Demonstrated experience in a site-based Maintenance Superintendent role (fixed/mobile plant processing equipment)
Excellent communication and team-based skills
Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, with highly competent report writing skills
Strong commercial and business acumen
Task prioritisation, time management for self and subordinates
Current manual driver’s licence
Experienced user of Pronto or a similar ERP
