We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our dryers fabrics and wide filter fabrics production unit in Ovar, Portugal. In this position, as a member of the maintenance department, you will supervise the team and coordinate working activities, ensuring that maintenance work is implemented on time and meets quality standards.

Your activities

  • Coordinating all maintenance related activities.
  • Supervise a team of 14 maintenance technicians.
  • Approving preventive maintenance plans and corrective maintenance interventions, as well as requested or necessary improvement orders.
  • Ensuring maintenance work is supervised and executed within timelines and in compliance with quality standards.
  • Supporting Production Department analyzing root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Implementing Continuous Improvement actions in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics and electrical production processes.
  • Performing functional analysis of devices and machines during approval phase.
  • Interacting with other technical teams

What you need to be successful in this role

  • BSc/MSc in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering (other Engineering fields might be considered).
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical maintenance in an industrial environment.
  • Good command of English.
  • Computer skills namely, ERP systems (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, such as communication and negotiation, team working and proactivity.
  • Strong team and project leadership skills.
  • Analytical thinking, methodical ways of working and motivation to join a fast-pace and demanding working environment.
