ABOUT THE COMPANY

At O’Brien Fine Foods we produce a number premium brands including Brady Family, Green Farm and Homebird. We have a heritage in the production of handcrafted artisan type products and employ over 500 people across our Kildare, Meath and Westmeath Facilities.
This role will be based in our Green Farm Site in Rathowen, Co. Westmeath where the team consistently deliver and produce innovation in chicken and turkey

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support to the Maintenance team in the administrative functions of their department.
  • Ensure agreed stock levels are maintained and raise orders in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the coordination and implementation of PM’s.
  • Coordination of yearly service contractors with external contractors.
  • Scheduling of contractors *
  • Manage the Department budget.
  • Active role on the emergency response team.
  • Schedule engineers work plans and co-ordinate day to day tasks.
  • Ensure all data on the department shared drive is up to date and accurate.
  • Generating reports.
  • Manage the stores operation and carry out regular checks to verify stock levels for re-ordering are accurate and appropriate.
  • Generate Purchase Orders.
  • Manage booking in/out systems of parts and equipment, logging transactions on the internal system.
  • Ensure that goods inwards are checked for damages and quantity in an accurate and timely manner and book into a location in the stores.
  • Ensure all materials requested are ready for collection by the engineers and contractors at the allotted times.
  • Control & issue of tools to maintenance staff.
  • Issue parts and materials to equipment and jobs using the internal system.
  • Work to continuously improve all aspects of the engineering department and support with the upgrade our existing process.
  • Comply with legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Work to build and maintain a good rapport with suppliers, contractors and OBFF colleagues.
  • Respect the need for confidentiality.
  • Monitor tasks raised on internal system and assign to engineers accordingly.
  • Assist the finance department in closing out all engineering related queries on a weekly basis and for month end.
  • Ensure monthly KPI’s are maintained (safety, PPV, budget, stock control).
  • Keep stores clean and tidy.
  • Carry out other duties other than the ones listed above from time to time.
