DESCRIPTION:
You will be the F-35 Organizational Maintenance Optimization (OMO) Systems Engineer - Level 1, and will be an essential part of identifying, prioritizing, analyzing, and implementing maintenance plan changes that will increase the Organizational and potentially Intermediate-Level maintenance capability while improving aircraft availability and reducing life cycle costs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline, or equivalent education/experience (i.e. aircraft maintainer, pilot) with previous professional experience
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with commercial or military aircraft and/or aerospace industry (i.e. logistics, maintenance, data analytics)
- Strong analytical thinking and business acumen skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the management of Maintenance Plan Change candidates and the associated process to implement Maintenance Plan Changes in the field. Your other responsibilities will include:
- Interfacing with the Joint Program Office Maintenance Value Stream Team (JPO MxVST)
- Coordinating and participating in multiple cross-functional customer engagements such as the OMO Triage, OMO Change Boards, Technical Interchange Meetings and Complexity Assessment Boards (CAB)
- Management of OMO candidate data analysis and impacts to the Integrated Product Systems (IPS) elements
- Management of implementation tasks and schedules
- Managing or participating in Maintenance Planning-related process improvements, data analyses, or customer requests.
