Description:
SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for up-keeping and maintaining repairs of the agencies buildings, vehicles, grounds and equipment, and other duties as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education
- High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Experience
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in maintenance or related field.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in maintenance related work
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
- Must have good written and verbal skills;
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Complete work orders and process them. Work cooperatively with staff to schedule and complete repairs.
- Inspect all buildings and facilities and initiate repairs as needed.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing.
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
- Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
- Conduct regular inventory of physical equipment and supplies and maintain accurate records. Order tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
- Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and identify items needing repair or replacement.
- Complete special projects as directed by the facilities director
