For our location in IDZ East London, South Africa, we have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you are an integral part of the related team, providing guidance in all local financial decisions. The successful candidate is a problem-solver who will work closely with the General Manager and local management team to further improve the business. * Preference will be given to employees from the Designated Groups

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified Millwright/ Electrician
• 2-3 years post apprentice exp within Plastic Injection Moulding Manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of plastic injection tooling and processes
• Computer literacy on Excel

• Ensure tooling and equipment conforms to the Groups HSE standards and that Production equipment is well maintained and in good working order.
• Ensure that the supporting structures and facilities are well maintained and ensuring tooling equipment and related are maintained.
• Ensure maintenance of tooling, machines and industrialization equipment.
• Maximum machine availability and support to production.
• Contribute to the improvement of electrical and mechanical standards
• Ensure electrical and mechanical equipment conforms to the Group’s HSE standards
• Ensure that production equipment is well maintained and in good working order
• Maintenance of tooling and related equipment
• Facilities are well maintained
• Need to be contactable after hours to support.
• Weekly Maintenance reports
• Process related problem solving and support.
• Support and set up of machines, robots and grippers.
• To now all equipment performance capability’s
• To know each equipment duty and what effect it will have if its underperforming
• Make sure all work orders etc are attended to
• Close of work orders in CVe
