Description:

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 1-3 of related experience and/or trade school training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
  • Ability to understand and give general instructions in standard situations.
  • Operate and use necessary manual and power-driven tools.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • May require shift work, overtime and/or on call duties.
  • Stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pump, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting device.
  • May be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments).
  • Climb ladders and stairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in Basic General Maintenance Duties
  • Solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Complete assigned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs.
  • Record all pertinent data in building logbooks and makes all appropriate daily entries.
  • Perform basic routine MEP repairs
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall, and wood trim repair
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Assists in emergencies as needed.
  • Returns all work areas to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition.
