Description:

Penmarc Inspired Spaces, LLC is currently seeking a Part Time Maintenance Technician for preventative maintenance and repair of various types of material handling equipment, in-store security/safety gates, and storage racking. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible to conduct store facility surveys for various retailers.
Penmarc is a full-service, third-party installation and facility service provider for manufacturers, retailers, and companies needing installation, facility surveys, preventative maintenance, or repairs of their products, equipment, or facilities.
What you will be doing!
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be “hands-on” conducting routine scheduled preventative maintenance and repair jobs as well as on-demand emergency repair site visits. You are responsible for direct customer service through project completion and client satisfaction. You are bringing the highest level of professionalism and quality of work to every project you undertake. Responsible for alerting scheduling to issues in the field and strategize to eliminate these issues on future jobs. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • A minimum of 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
  • Light welding experience
  • Knowledge of non-motorized material handling equipment, (i.e. pallet jacks, flatbeds, shopping carts, etc.)
  • Knowledge of General Safety Practices or OSHA training preferred.
  • Knowledge of Hot Works safety requirements
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as described in the scope of work.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively with a keen sense to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment to make decisions and solve problems
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Ability to utilize dispatching equipment such as telephone, pagers, mobile radio
  • Ability to effectively use applications on a cell phone
  • Ability to read specifications, details, and various Inventory or assessment checklists
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics

EXPERIENCE:

  • Facility or Equipment Maintenance: 3 years
  • Light Welding: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all guidelines for check-in/check-out procedures, reporting and communication requirements
  • Complete site assessment surveys utilizing cameras and/or video equipment following checklist
  • Ability to climb ladders to access the building roof
  • Complete inventory Inspections and repair of material handling equipment to ensure their safe operation
  • Inspects wheels, bumpers, safety straps, handles, hydraulics, displays, ladders, baskets/cages & flatbed platforms, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
  • Properly replace worn or damaged components of equipment within the allowable budget
  • Properly align frames and gates as required
  • Follow specified procedures to lockout/tagout unsafe or unusable equipment
  • Inspect and replace safety stickers per provided guidelines
  • Maintain stock inventory of all repair materials, report replenishment requirements in a timely manner to ensure zero out of stocks
  • Assess specific repair requirements for each job and prioritize repairs to ensure work is completed within the tolerable budgets
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in all interactions with clientele and maintain excellent service through completion.
  • Continuously monitor your progress to optimize the efficiency of your day and installations.
  • Problem-solve issues arising in the field to help complete your task promptly,
  • Interact positively and immediately with scheduling to keep abreast of progress.
  • Maintain your tools and work environment safely and cleanly minimizing disturbance to other areas.
