POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Maintenance team is responsible for safely maintaining, repairing and installing manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum productivity of the operation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safe operating procedures.
  • Self-starter, with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that safety policies, housekeeping rules and guidelines, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Maintain, install and repair industrial parts and equipment within the plant to ensure a safe and reliable day to day operation of the plant equipment.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Management to troubleshoot repairs and manage regular maintenance and compliance programs.
  • Perform routine equipment preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication and inspection.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
  • Record and maintain documentation relating to maintenance activities and calibrations.
  • Complete daily site inspections and required reporting.
  • Understand all areas within the facility to include safe lock out procedures and equipment guarding.
  • Identify issues and unsafe work conditions and implement the required corrective actions.
  • Set-up, maintain and operate shop tools and equipment.
  • Manage spare part, supply and equipment inventories.
  • Other duties as assigned.
